Your projects, your sources and your drafts, in one place.
Verbatim gives you a team of AI agents, from the first lead to the final draft. You describe your subject in plain words. The agents search, read, follow your sources and write in your style, for hours or for weeks. Every fact stays tied to its source, and you make every call.

I have opened a project for this investigation. The agents start now.
Jules Spector, a journalist (French press card no. 145851), founded Verbatim with Jean-Claude Lescure.
Their agents plan the work, write the code, test it and fix their own mistakes, for hours. Everyone who researches, analyses and writes still types questions into a chat box. Verbatim brings agents to that work.
When an agent makes a mistake in code, a test catches it. When it makes a mistake in research, the mistake gets published. Verbatim’s agents work from your sources, bring back the proof for every result, and leave every decision to you.
Each agent has its role. They work in parallel, for hours or for weeks, and check each other’s work.
They search the web, search engines and public registers for as long as it takes. They read every page they find from start to finish, and keep the excerpts that matter.
Give it forty thousand pages. It reads every one and remembers every line: reports, scans, spreadsheets, emails and recordings, in most languages. Ask it anything, and it answers with the exact page.
Its agents watch hundreds of sources, day and night: the press, public registers, official decisions and the sources you add. You hear about anything that changes your project, with the excerpt that proves it. Four articles on the same event make one line.
It finds the people who know and maps who worked with whom. It works out how to reach them and drafts the message. Nothing is sent before you review it.
Before you meet someone, it prepares everything: what they have said before, what the documents show, and the questions they will try to avoid.
Tables, charts and calculations stay tied to their sources. Every figure the agents compute points back to its cells. The result follows your house template.
Chatbots predict the most likely next word. When a fact is missing, they make one up. Verbatim runs on a proprietary algorithm that ties every fact to the exact excerpt it comes from. It checks every sentence against those sources, continuously, and rejects any claim it cannot trace.
Its proprietary style engine was developed with linguists. It measures dozens of features in everything you have published, from the length of your sentences to the way you quote people. Send it a wire story or a rough draft, and it rewrites it the way you would. Every correction you make refines your style profile.
In interviews, press conferences and meetings, it transcribes every word and checks every sentence as it is spoken. It checks against your documents, your sources, the web and everything that person has said before. When an answer contradicts your documents, the proof is on your screen while they are still talking. Your next question is ready.
Each project keeps its sources, excerpts, people, monitoring, drafts and history for as long as the work lasts. The places never move, so you always know where things are. Inside a project, the agents lay out what the work needs: the template of the draft, the sources next to each paragraph, the actions offered on a selection, a page built for the question of the moment. What you pin stays where you put it. The agents panel sits on every screen, and it knows where you are.
The agents work in parallel, for hours or for days, and check each other’s work. You see what each one is doing, at every step. You can stop or undo anything. Nothing goes out without you.
We started with journalism, because it demands the truth, fast. Each project type sets the agents, the drafts and the actions for its profession. You can change it at any time.
Your projects, your sources and your drafts, in one place.
Follow your agents, approve what goes out, listen in on an interview and read your briefing.
Your projects and your monitoring, inside the assistant you already use.
Verbatim tests models from several labs on every task and uses the one that does it best.
Every day, at the time you choose, a short briefing on all your projects, in Verbatim and by email.
General-purpose assistants answer one question at a time. Verbatim’s agents take on the whole project and follow the rules of your profession.
| A general-purpose assistant | verbatimVerbatim | |
|---|---|---|
| The work | Answers one question, then waits for the next. | Works on your whole project, for hours or for weeks. |
| Facts | Can invent a fact and present it as true. | Ties every fact to its source and rejects what it cannot trace. |
| Monitoring | Answers when you ask. | Follows your sources day and night and alerts you. |
| Style | Writes in a generic style. | Writes in your style, learned from your work. |
| Your profession | Ignores its rules: sources, ethics, law. | Follows them, and uses your house templates. |
| Audit trail | Does not record which lines the AI wrote. | Records the origin of every line: you, the AI or a source. |
Verbatim records the origin of every line: you, the AI or a source. The record is ready when the AI Act requires it.

They remain yours. Your content is never used to train third-party models. Your style profile belongs to your account and only serves your agents. If you leave, you take your data with you.
A chat assistant answers one question at a time, then waits. In Verbatim, agents work on your project for hours or weeks: they follow your sources, keep your material and tie every fact to its source. Soon, you will also open your Verbatim projects inside ChatGPT or Claude.
Verbatim starts with four project types: journalism, long-form writing, analysis and research. Each one sets the agents, the drafts and the actions for its profession. Other professions use the closest type.
It reads, transcribes and translates documents and recordings in most languages. It writes in the language you choose.
No. Verbatim works with journalists. Its agents search, read, transcribe and check, and the journalist directs them, decides and signs. Nothing goes out without their approval.
No. Take the full VerbatimOS or only the modules you need. Verbatim publishes to your current CMS, WordPress or any tool connected by webhook. We handle the integrations on site. Your teams adopt the modules at their own pace.
VerbatimAgent works the day you subscribe, with nothing to install. For VerbatimOS, we come to your newsroom. We connect your tools and calibrate the house style on your archives. We set the timeline with you before we start.
Every claim keeps its source. The agents check that each source says what the draft attributes to it, and flag contradictions inside the draft and between sources. When two sources disagree, Verbatim shows you the disagreement and lets you decide. An analysis, an opinion or a figure of speech never receives a fact status.
