Figures tied to their cells
Tables, charts and calculations stay tied to their sources. Every figure the agents compute points back to the cells that produced it. For example, “Incidents tripled between 2020 and 2023” points to cells D2 and D5 of the table drawn from the annual reports. A figure that was announced but is missing from the accounts is flagged.
Ratios, recalculated
The Reading agent extracts the accounts from annual reports. The agents recalculate the ratios and compare them with the ones the company publishes. For example, the operator’s net debt stood at 2.9 times EBITDA at the end of 2024, against 2.1 a year earlier, according to its annual report, page 88. When a recalculated ratio differs from the report, you are told.
Filings and notices, monitored
The Monitoring agent follows company filings, regulator notices, public tenders, court registries, parliament and official decisions, day and night. It tells you about anything that changes your analysis, with the excerpt that proves it. Four articles on the same decision make one line.
Statements checked live
At a press conference, a meeting or an interview, Verbatim transcribes every word and checks every sentence as it is spoken. It compares each one with the accounts, your sources and everything the speaker has said before. When an executive announces four million invested in safety, Verbatim displays the annual report, page 41: 1.2 million.
Credit note, table, chart, presentation
The Analysis project type offers four drafts: the credit note, the table, the chart and the presentation. The result follows your house template. The style engine writes in your style, learned from your previous notes. The Checking agent checks every claim against its excerpt. An analysis, an opinion or a figure of speech never receives a fact status.
