In short
A local newsroom covers many towns with few journalists. VerbatimOS gives it a team of AI agents that monitor the area day and night and rewrite wire stories and press releases in the paper’s style. The Checking agent checks every fact against its source. VerbatimOS also equips the desk, from story assignment to publication.
A local newsroom covers council meetings, associations, sports clubs and a steady flow of press releases. Reworking those texts takes time away from reporting.
Monitoring your area
The Monitoring agent follows the sites you choose: councils, local authorities, public bodies, associations and clubs. It also follows council decisions, public notices, public tenders and the local press, day and night. You hear about anything that changes a project, with the excerpt that proves it. Four articles on the same decision make one line.
Wire stories and press releases
Paste a wire story or a press release into VerbatimOS. The Writing agent produces a first draft in the paper’s style, in the format you choose: article, news brief, script, note or rewritten wire. The Checking agent checks every claim against its source and flags the ones it cannot find.
Council meetings, live
At a council meeting or an interview, click “Start live”. Verbatim transcribes every word and checks every sentence as it is spoken, against your documents, council decisions and everything the councillor has said before. For example, a deputy mayor says the safety budget for the local plant has been maintained. Verbatim displays council decision 2026-114, which cuts that budget, and prepares a question on the line that was cut.
People in your area
The People page brings together councillors, association leaders and local experts, with the history of your exchanges. The People agent flags people named in your documents whom the newsroom has never contacted. It works out how to reach them and drafts the message, which you check with the “Review and send” button.
The desk and the audit trail
VerbatimOS adds the built-in CMS, story assignment, work-in-progress tracking and the approval queue to VerbatimAgent. Every article goes through the approval queue before publication. Verbatim records the origin of every line: the journalist, the AI or a source. The AI Act report covers the whole team.
Pricing
VerbatimOS costs €109 to €249 a month, depending on modules and usage. Take the full OS or only the modules you need, and we handle the integrations on site. The price is fixed, with no AI usage billed on top.
Questions
Will VerbatimOS make every article sound the same?
No. Verbatim writes in your house style, which we calibrate on your archives when you start. Every correction your journalists make refines the style profile.
Do we need to change our CMS or train the whole newsroom?
No. VerbatimOS publishes to your current CMS, WordPress or any tool connected by webhook. Your teams adopt the modules at their own pace.
Do we have to tell readers when we use AI?
Article 50 of the AI Act requires a disclosure when AI generates or alters text published to inform the public on matters of public interest. The obligation does not apply after human review or editorial control, if a natural or legal person holds editorial responsibility. Verbatim records the origin of every line and every approval. The record is ready when the AI Act requires it.
